| Nor Hafizah Abdullah


Nor Hafizah graduated from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (International Islamic University Malaysia), or also known as IIUM, with an LL.B (Hons) in 2006 and an LLB.S (Hons) in 2007.


She then started her legal career as a Legal Officer in Attorney General’s Chambers of Malaysia in 2008. She was appointed as a Deputy Public Prosecutor for Session Court Muar, Johor. She worked mainly in criminal cases for various courts including Magistrate Court, Session Court, and High Court.


When she was in service, she was called to the Bar in High Court of Muar, Johor, in November 2014. Then, in 2015, she joined Negeri Sembilan Prosecution Team. Then, in the following year, she was promoted as a Senior Federal Counsel and posted at the Legal Advisor Office of Prime Minister’s Department.


During her tenure as a Senior Federal Counsel, she was responsible to handle agreements, bills of parliament, cabinet papers, civil suits, and various advisory matters for Prime Minister’s Department and its agencies which include Majlis Keselamatan Negara (The Malaysian National Security Council), or also known as MKN, Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), Lembaga Tabung Haji, and Jabatan Kehakiman Syariah Malaysia (the Department of Syariah Judiciary Malaysia). Then, she was transferred to Inspectorate Unit at the Attorney General’s Chambers of Malaysia in Putrajaya before she decided to quit the service in 2017.


After that, Nor Hafizah joined Lydiana Law Chambers as a Partner and opened another branch which is in Muar, Johor. She has extensive experience in Criminal Litigation. She has represented defendants for various types of criminal cases such as drug trafficking, outrage of modesty, murder, human trafficking, and general crime. She has vast exposure in Criminal Litigation due to her work experience in the Subordinate Courts, High Courts, and Courts of Appeal. 


In addition to this, since 2019, she has been actively conducting cases for Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan Malaysia (National Legal Aid Foundation).


She believes in what Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton said, “A good heart is better than all the heads in the world”.
